I have made multiple attempts at regaining access to the association’s Facebook page after its mysterious disappearance.1 Today, I asked ChatGPT for aid on recovering it and it recommended visiting https://www.facebook.com/accountquality/. I’d never visited that link before.
That lead to a feature using Facebook’s AI where I described the problem, leading to a discussion, that eventually lead me to finding that the association page was somehow scheduled for deletion (which was shared through this link: https://www.facebook.com/settings/reactivation). The chatbot recommended setting up Two-Factor Authentication. While tinkering with that process, here was an exchange I had with it:

There were no flagged violations, so it certainly wasn’t that. I certainly had full control of the page before being kicked out. Either way, I’ve set up the Two-Factor Authentication it mentioned, for extra security.
The timing couldn’t have been better. I was starting to give up entirely. But I don’t think that would have been fair to the 3.6K followers we have or the sheer volume of content posted on that page since its founding. Either way, I’m bloody glad to get it back. Thank you, Meta AI business assistant!
For extra protection, I looked into getting a blue tick for the page. Those were once issued free to celebrities, large organisations, etc., but it turns out they’re now a paid-for service called Meta Verified. Clearly, Mark Zuckerberg must’ve taken a leaf from Elon Musk’s book.2 Not paying for that, so on with the show.
