I am pleased announce that the association’s flagship journal, Journal of Vampire Studies, is now indexed in Informit, “Australia’s leading source of online journals, books, reports and videos focusing on the humanities and social sciences.”1 Informit is the third database to index the journal, following its inclusion in MLA International Bibliography with Full Text and SoUO Wiki.2

During the Informit onboarding process, I decided to makes the journal’s content open access, following a long-term goal instituted in the journal’s first issue.3 However, one issue remains unindexed—volume one, number two—due to me not yet locating a viable PDF that isn’t a watermarked eproof. Hopefully, that matter will be rectified soon.

The broader aim of the journal’s inclusion in databases like Informit is to increase awareness and accessibility of the journal’s content. However, it will still be published in print, with print preceding its online availability. The choice of contributors to individually distribute their content through platforms like Academia.edu will also remain intact.
