Following the relaunch of our website earlier today, we’ve already received some feedback…from none other than the website’s creator!

Erin Chapman, our former Operations Co-ordinator, told me the following via Facebook: “Good job. My only feedback was this”—and linked me to a page on web communication by Lamar University’s Office of Marketing Communications.1

The page explains that web designers should avoid using “click here” as it is too ambiguous, not action-orientated, SEO friendly or modern. Whoops.

I did use “click here” several times throughout the website (for example, our Pressroom page),2 but perhaps it could be improved by not using it. I will definitely give it some consideration.

Thank you, Erin!
